Precious is one of the 12 women featured in this year’s I Am Bombshell campaign. She’s the one who brings the light — bold, joyful and full of heart. Her story is all about showing up for others, pouring love into everything she does, and staying grounded in her truth while helping others feel whole.
Which part of B.O.M.B.S.H.E.L.L. do you relate to most right now, and why?
Opinionated. Beautiful. Humoured. Loud. Loyal.
Anyone who knows me, since my university years up till now can attest to my bubbly, loud, humoured, opinionated, loyal and beautiful self.
I have been told numerous times by close friends and family as well as the patients I work with, how I light up a room with my big smile, how I keep everyone light-hearted with my jokes and carefree nature.
How I stand up for what is right regardless especially in the medical field. The most touching compliment I’ve received from a patient was ‘Precious, you know what makes you stand out ‘, is how you make us feel’, that is something we carry with us as patients always.’ That is what makes me beautiful.
My heart, more than anything it shows in everything I do.
Tell us a little more about yourself.
What makes me feel strong, soft and seen is the way I pour back into my cup continuously. I am always bursting with energy, love, compassion, empathy and patience in my daily profession (Diagnostic Radiographer).
Every patient I interact with I always want to leave them in a better state than they came in. Gentleness and just lending an ear play a huge part in my day.
Most of our patients come in broken (internally), and at times, they just want someone to lend an ear. This can take a toll on one, especially if you do not pour back into your cup.
I love it when I have time off, enjoying a spa day, being out in the sun, and I love a great workout, so fitness plays a huge role in my overall well-being. Both emotionally and physically. Surrounding myself with the people I love. Eating right and having a calming night routine have been my biggest help.
This is how I can walk into a room and still have so much energy and light in me for all the people I love and get to treat on a daily basis.
What does beauty mean to you at this stage of your life?
When you are in your 30s your definition of beauty changes. Beauty to me now looks more like how I feel on the inside. Whatever is happening to me on the inside will always show outwardly.
So my internal state is my definition of beauty. What I eat, fitness, what I listen to, where my attention goes and my internal conversations with myself.
Is it aligned to this incredible woman I am? Is it healthy? Is it feeding me in the positive way? That’s what beauty is to me now. Mindfulness and balanced internally, so it can always show outwardly.
What does wellness look like for you — honestly?
Wellness for me currently is my gym routine. I go to the gym 4 x a week. Absolutely love it.
The free weekly smoothies from Virgin Active are a big plus. I generally take the Vitamin C one.
Having incorporated Bombshell 4 months ago into my routine has been fantastic. Hair, skin and nails love it .
I also enjoy NERO KNOWLEDGE & NEVILLE GODDARD content, which is all about mindfulness and power within me. These have been perfect for my wellness overall.
Why did you want to be part of the “I Am a B.O.M.B.S.H.E.L.L.” campaign?
More than anything it’s the results and love of the products that I have seen on myself. I would never be apart of a campaign on a brand I didn’t believe in. BOMBSHELL has far exceeded my expectations as a brand and as a product.
How have Bombshell products supported your wellness or beauty journey?
Bombshell Collagen, Marine specifically has been a part of my regimen for the past 4 to 5 months.
Not only has it supported the growth of my hair and nails and overall glow of my skin but it has taken up my confidence to new levels.
Waking up energised, Mornings that make me look forward to my breakfast ritual that is always accompanied by my green tea and collagen and assisting me in my bones and joint health, as working out is a huge part of my weekly schedule.
